Avoid This #1 Mistake When Trying to Get Your Energy Back

Are You Stuck in the “All or Nothing” Trap?

You want to get your energy back.

You want to feel good again.

And you’re ready to do whatever it takes.

But… if you can’t do it perfectly, is it even worth trying?

If you’ve ever thought, “I need to get everything just right, or what’s the point?”—I see you. And I get it.

For years, I thought that to feel better, I had to go all in.

🥗 Eat perfectly.
🥤 Drink green smoothies daily.
🧘 Meditate for 30 minutes.
🏋️ Exercise for at least an hour.

Anything less than that? It wasn’t good enough.

So I’d start strong for a few days… push myself too hard… and then burn out. Again and again.

Does that sound familiar?

Here’s what I wish I had known sooner:

The all-or-nothing mindset isn’t helping you—it’s keeping you stuck.

The #1 Mistake Most Survivors Make When Trying to Get Their Energy Back

After my breast cancer diagnosis, I thought I’d just bounce back when treatment ended.

I assumed that if I went back to doing all the things I did before, I’d feel like myself again.

But I couldn’t have been more wrong.

Trying to force myself to “fix everything” only made me more exhausted.

And I see the same struggle in so many of the women I work with.

They push. They try. They go all in.

…And then they crash.

Not because they aren’t strong enough. Not because they aren’t motivated enough.

But because our brains are wired to resist overwhelming change.

Why Big Overhauls Don’t Work (And What to Do Instead)

Research shows that small, consistent habits are far more effective than drastic overhauls.

In fact, big, restrictive changes—like extreme diets—almost always backfire.

🚨 98% of women who go on a diet will gain the weight back (or more) within two years.

That’s because when we try to change everything all at once, our brain fights back.

It’s not just about willpower—it’s biology.

So instead of forcing yourself to do more… what if you did less?

What if you took the pressure off?

What if you focused on tiny, gentle, manageable shifts—ones that actually fit into your life?

Start Here: One Small Shift at a Time

Instead of trying to fix everything at once, start with one micro-shift today.

💨 If you’re exhausted?
Before getting out of bed, take one deep, intentional breath.

🤸 If you’re feeling sluggish?
Stand up and stretch for 30 seconds—open your chest, breathe deep.

🥦 If eating better feels overwhelming?
Add one extra veggie to your dinner plate. That’s it.

It might seem too small.

Your brain might say, “This isn’t enough.”

But I promise you—it is.

Because when you start making one tiny shift at a time, something magical happens.

👉 You stop feeling like you’re failing.
👉 You start building confidence.
👉 You create habits that actually stick.

Compassion Over Perfection

Here’s a question I want you to ask yourself:

💙 Would you ever tell your best friend that what she’s doing isn’t enough?

Would you tell her she should just give up because she isn’t perfect?

Of course not.

So why do we talk to ourselves that way?

What if, instead of judging ourselves, we gave ourselves the same compassion we’d give to a loved one?

✨ You don’t need to do everything at once.
✨ You don’t need to be perfect.
✨ You just need to start—small.
