🌼 Grateful to Be Alive… and Still Having a Hard Day

Most mornings, I wake up feeling grateful to be alive… and I can still have a hard day.

Both can exist at once.

After breast cancer, gratitude can feel complicated. You might think, “I should be thankful, I survived.” But what if you’re still tired, emotional, or not sure who you are anymore?

That’s okay.

Gratitude isn’t about pretending everything’s fine.

It’s about letting truth and tenderness share the same space.

You can be thankful and still healing.

You can smile and still ache.

You can whisper “thank you” even as tears fall.

Because that’s where the real healing happens — in the honesty, not the perfection.
