1. Why Do You Feel So Crazed?

I encourage you to share the love...how many people do you know that could use a dose of calm? LOL.
I think you'll agree when I say that life is crazy? It's stressful and overwhelming! Firstly, I want you to know that you're not alone...it's most definitely a theme amongst the majority of my 1-1 clients.
Now, my goal is always to take away the stress and overwhelm that's keeping you feeling stuck, bogged down and even burnt out and that's why I wanted to do this podcast...it's something I've been thinking about for a while and I truly hope that it brings some new ideas, new perspectives and the tools you need to get you moving forward...one doable step at a time!
Do you even know what's making you feel so overwhelmed?
The first stage of making any changes is to recognize where you are now, just as if you were going on a cross country drive you'd need a starting address before you could even consider where you want to go...but we so often skip over this SUPER important step and just look at the end goal.
Think of it this way...if you were building a house, would you build the roof first? Of course not, the foundation comes first. it's the same whenever we're looking to make any changes within ourselves and our lives.

- Relationships - Significant other, family & friends
- Work
- Money
- Parents
- Kids
- Health Issues
- How to Lose Weight
- Childhood traumas

- Uncertainty
- Procrastination
As you can see from this much-abbreviated list...stress comes at us from every direction. Trust me, I'll be addressing many of them on future podcast episodes...so make sure to subscribe, so you don't miss an episode.
Are you just going through the motions?
I call this The Hamster Wheel of Life because to me, that's what it felt like when I was just going through the motions in my life. I was a single mom, working a full-time job, taking my kids to after school sports and events and taking care of a household on my own. I was on that hamster wheel until I was knocked off it by a horrible car accident!
It was that car accident and the therapist, life coach and my support system that got me through that challenging time. And as the fog started to clear and the exhaustion set in, I realized what I'd been doing to myself. Plus, what I was no longer going to choose to do.
No way, was I getting back on that wheel. I don't regret what I did, my priorities during that time were my kids and making sure that they felt, safe, secure and unconditionally loved. But at the time of my accident, they were both in college and didn't need me in the same way anymore.
How do you know if you're on The Hamster Wheel of Life?
Your body is probably going to tell you way before you realize, here's a hint...if you're experiencing any of the following symptoms, that can be signs of your body reacting to stress:
- Exhaustion
- Restless sleep
- Headaches
- Heart racing
- Acne/breakouts
- Having trouble with your digestion
- Experiencing mood swings
- Muscle & joint aches and pains
- Do you feel tense
- Food cravings (Sugar & Carbs are most common)
- Feeling run down
- Depression
These CAN all be signs that you're stressed and that you're holding it in your body. The reason it's so important to recognize these beginning symptoms is that over time, if the stress and the way that you're dealing with it continue, it can lead to more serious health issues and you want to avoid this if possible.
So I invite you to get real and honest with yourself...it's time to get you unstuck! Let's figure out together, where you are now so that you can start to really live your life and step out from behind the mask you've been wearing.
